Once you’ve selected a job, the AI Screening Assistant automatically generates job-specific screening criteria based on your job description.
Adjust and extend criteria
You can tailor the suggested criteria to your needs and add up to 10 more to specify exactly what the AI should evaluate. This way, you decide what really matters for the role.
Transparent Comparison
Once you’re satisfied with your criteria, the Assistant gets to work and evaluates each new candidate based on your screening criteria.

AI Screening Assistant
The AI Screening Assistant is fully integrated into softgarden’s applicant tracking system. That means you can combine it with all the powerful features you already know from softgarden. For example, you can combine filters based on the screening results with other filters, or multi-select candidates by their screening results, then move them to the next stage in a bulk action and send them emails using predefined templates. Everything happens in the environment you already know: no switching systems, no data exports, no third-party tools.
Security and compliance are at the core: the Screening Assistant processes only selected data from the CV and leaves out protected characteristics such as age or gender. The language model it uses runs on Microsoft Azure servers in the EU, and your data is not used to train the AI model.
No. Based on the job description, the Screening Assistant first automatically suggests suitable screening criteria, which you can freely adjust or add to. It then compares every incoming application against these criteria and shows you at a glance which criteria a candidate meets, including a detailed view with the supporting evidence highlighted in the CV. That way, you see right away why a match is a match. You then move the applications to the next step yourself, and you can select multiple applications for a bulk action.

The feature is completely optional and disabled by default for all customers. So before its first use, the Screening Assistant has to be activated in the settings of your softgarden account, and once activated it can be disabled again there at any time.
